Human Sphingomyelin ELISA Kit

Developed by Assay Genie for the precise measurement of sphingomyelin in human samples, this ELISA kit supports research into sphingolipid biology and related biomarker studies. The assay format is Competitive ELISA, Coated with Antigen, with a colorimetric detection method and absorbance read at 450 nm. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit reports a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and an assay range of 3.125-200 ng/mL, and reagents should be stored sealed at 2-8°C without cryopreservation. The workflow begins with a 30-minute room-temperature equilibration of the TMB substrate, followed by adding 50 µL of standard or sample and 50 µL of biotin-labeled antibody to each well and incubating at 37°C for 45 minutes. After washing, TMB substrate is added and incubated in the dark at 37°C for 10-20 minutes, the reaction is stopped, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
