The Assay Genie Human SPG11 (Spatacsin) ELISA Kit provides researchers with a sensitive tool for quantifying spatacsin, the protein encoded by the SPG11 gene. Loss-of-function mutations in SPG11 are the most common cause of autosomal recessive hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP type 11) and have been linked to juvenile amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS5), making this biomarker of strong interest in neurodegeneration research, lysosomal trafficking studies, and autophagy investigations.
