SPARC (Secreted Protein Acidic and Rich in Cysteine), also known as Osteonectin or BM-40, is a calcium-binding matricellular glycoprotein that regulates cell-matrix interactions, collagen assembly, and growth factor activity. The Assay Genie Human SPARC PharmaGenie ELISA Kit is a quantitative immunoassay formatted for measuring human SPARC in cell culture supernatants and circulating biospecimens, supporting studies in tumor biology, fibrosis, wound healing, and bone remodeling.

SPARC is upregulated in aggressive melanomas, gliomas, ovarian, breast, and colorectal carcinomas, and altered SPARC levels have been associated with liver cirrhosis, diabetic nephropathy, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Investigators use this kit to quantify SPARC secretion from cultured fibroblasts, osteoblasts, mesenchymal stromal cells, and tumor lines, or to assess clinical samples in translational research. The kit ships as a complete pack of pre-coated strip plate, lyophilized recombinant standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution.
