SOX8 (SRY-Box Transcription Factor 8) is a member of the SOXE subgroup of HMG-box transcription factors, encoded on human chromosome 16p13.3. The protein contributes to sex determination, neural crest cell development, oligodendrocyte differentiation, and cartilage formation, and altered expression has been associated with developmental disorders as well as several cancer types.

This in-vitro ELISA from Assay Genie supports quantitative measurement of human SOX8 protein in research samples using a colorimetric read-out on a pre-coated microplate. The kit is intended for research use only, applicable to studies of reproductive development, neural crest biology, and oncology where SOX8 levels are of interest.
