SOS1 (Son of sevenless homolog 1) is a 1333-amino-acid guanine nucleotide exchange factor that activates RAS GTPases, propagating signals through the RAF/MEK/ERK cascade. Germline mutations in SOS1 are associated with Noonan syndrome, a RASopathy characterized by cardiac, craniofacial, and developmental abnormalities, while somatic alterations are studied in melanoma and other RAS-driven malignancies. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie is reactive with human SOS1 and supports signal transduction research, biomarker studies, and investigations into RTK-mediated RAS/MAPK pathway dysregulation.
