Human Sortilin PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1110)

The Assay Genie PharmaGenie immunoassay kit is set up to quantify human sortilin (SORT1) in research samples using a colorimetric read-out. Sortilin is a ~95 kDa type I transmembrane receptor of the VPS10p sorting family that directs neurotensin, progranulin, PCSK9, and lipoprotein cargo between the trans-Golgi network, endosomes, and the plasma membrane. Circulating sortilin has been investigated as a biomarker in cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and neurodegenerative research including Alzheimer's disease, where it modulates progranulin and apolipoprotein E handling. The kit is intended for measurement in conditioned cell culture supernatant as well as in human blood plasma or serum, supporting experiments that compare receptor shedding and secretion across cell models and clinical cohorts. Reagents are supplied as pre-coated wells, lyophilized standards in single-use vials, detection antibody, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution; reconstituted standard should be aliquoted and stored frozen between uses to limit freeze-thaw cycling, and the kit is shipped refrigerated on blue ice with brief exposure to room temperature acceptable during handling.
