Quantitative ELISA-based immunoassay platform from Assay Genie for measuring soluble sortilin in human research specimens. Sortilin, the multi-ligand type I transmembrane receptor encoded by the SORT1 gene, belongs to the VPS10P domain family and orchestrates intracellular trafficking of progranulin, proBDNF, neurotensin, and apolipoprotein-containing lipoproteins.

Published studies connect circulating sortilin concentrations and SORT1 variants to LDL cholesterol regulation, coronary artery disease susceptibility, type 2 diabetes phenotypes, and altered progranulin handling in neurodegeneration research. The kit is supplied in a 96 Assays plate configuration and is intended for in vitro research use only.
