Human Somatostatin receptor type 5 (SSTR5) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative detection of Human Somatostatin receptor type 5 (SSTR5), a G-protein coupled receptor implicated in hormone secretion, neuronal function, and conditions such as neuroendocrine tumors and diabetes. The assay is validated for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples and specificity for natural and recombinant SSTR5.

With a detection range of 7.8-500pg/mL and a sensitivity of 3.93pg/mL, the kit provides reproducible performance for research workflows. SSTR5 (synonym SS-5-R; UniProt P35346) functions as a receptor for somatostatin 28 and, to a lesser extent, somatostatin-14, and its activity is mediated by G proteins which inhibit adenylyl cyclase; the receptor also forms heterodimers with SSTR2.
