Human Somatostatin receptor type 2/SSTR2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA (Double Antibody) is designed for the quantitative measurement of Somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2) in human samples. Compatible specimen types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Because SSTR2 mediates the actions of somatostatin — a hormone that regulates diverse physiological functions — and its dysregulation has been implicated in conditions such as neuroendocrine tumors and pituitary adenomas, the assay offers researchers a sensitive means of quantifying SSTR2 to investigate disease pathogenesis and potential therapeutic targets.

The colorimetric detection method delivers results across a measuring range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL, with a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL. Manufacturer validation reports average recovery of 97% in serum (range 88–105%), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 85–102%) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 90–99%). Linearity testing across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions yields recoveries of 88–103%, 85–97% and 91–99% for serum; 86–101%, 83–101% and 82–98% for EDTA plasma; and 82–92%, 85–99% and 80–98% for heparin plasma (all n=5).
