Human Somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of human Somatostatin Receptor Type 2 (SSTR2). The assay works with serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids, and it detects both natural and recombinant human SSTR2. The kit is intended for research use only.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 33 pg/mL and a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 9.6%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery in serum averages 89% (range 83–95%) and in plasma averages 91% (range 85–97%).

SSTR2 is a G-protein–coupled receptor that mediates somatostatin's inhibitory effects on hormone secretion, and its dysregulation has been implicated in neuroendocrine tumours and pituitary adenomas. This kit provides a quantitative tool for exploring the receptor's role in health and disease.
