Human Solute carrier family 40 member 1 (SLC40A1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Solute carrier family 40 member 1 (SLC40A1), also known as Ferroportin-1. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant human SLC40A1 with high specificity. Colorimetric detection supports research into iron homeostasis, given SLC40A1's role in mediating cellular iron efflux and its links to disorders such as iron overload and anemia.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.05ng/mL. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 3.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (81-114% across dilutions), EDTA plasma (91-118%), and heparin plasma (89-124%), with average recovery of 98% for serum (range 92-104%) and 100% for plasma (range 94-106%).
