Human Solute carrier family 12 member 2 (SLC12A2) ELISA Kit

The assay is intended for research use only and recognises both natural and recombinant human SLC12A2.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.4 pg/mL. Precision values are reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Recovery data are available for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, and average recovery is reported at 99% (range 93–105%) for serum and 101% (range 95–107%) for plasma.

The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is associated with UniProt entry P55011. SLC12A2 (NKCC1) is a multi-pass membrane cation transporter that mediates sodium and chloride reabsorption and contributes to the regulation of ionic balance and cell volume, being expressed in many tissues, with bumetanide described as a potent NKCC1 antagonist.
