Human Sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter (SLC6A2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the detection of human Sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter (SLC6A2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method, reacts with human samples, and is for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.164ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.5% and inter-assay CV is 10.1%. Linearity in serum (N=5) ranges from 96-106% at 1:2, 100-112% at 1:4, 94-106% at 1:8 and 99-110% at 1:16; in EDTA plasma (N=5) from 107-119%, 108-119%, 81-89% and 102-112%; and in heparin plasma (N=5) from 108-120%, 102-112%, 96-107% and 105-115%. Recovery in serum averages 103% (range 97-109%) and in plasma averages 105% (range 99-111%).

The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human SLC6A2. The target is a multi-pass membrane protein located in the cell membrane that functions as an amine transporter, terminating the action of noradrenaline by its high-affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals. Synonyms include Norepinephrine transporter, Solute carrier family 6 member 2, NET, NAT1, NET1 and SLC6A5.
