Human SOD2/MnSOD ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of superoxide dismutase 2 (MnSOD) in human samples using a double-antibody format. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measurable range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm after TMB development, and the kit is intended for cell biology research relating to oxidative stress and antioxidant mechanisms.

Performance is supported by linearity and recovery data across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. The protocol follows a six-step procedure: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and stop reaction followed by absorbance reading. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C and are stable for 12 months under those conditions.
