Human SOD1 ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise quantification of SOD1 (Superoxide Dismutase 1) levels in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit from Assay Genie supports research into antioxidant defence mechanisms. Validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, the kit delivers a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a working range of 0.781-50 ng/mL (10000IU/mg) using colorimetric detection. Recovery in serum averages 92% (range 86-101%), in EDTA plasma 95% (range 90-100%), and in heparin plasma 98% (range 89-105%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is reported at 80-104% for serum, 83-103% for EDTA plasma, and 84-101% for heparin plasma. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

The assay procedure comprises reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
