SOCS4 belongs to the suppressor of cytokine signaling family and acts as a feedback regulator of cytokine-driven JAK/STAT signaling. The protein contains a central SH2 domain flanked by an extended N-terminal region of unknown function and a C-terminal SOCS box that engages the elongin BC complex to promote substrate ubiquitination. Quantifying circulating SOCS4 supports research into innate immunity, inflammatory cytokine responses, and cytokine receptor turnover dynamics. This Assay Genie kit is calibrated against recombinant human SOCS4 and uses matched capture and detection antibodies immobilized on a strip-well microplate.
