Human SNC alpha (Synuclein Alpha) CLIA Kit (HUES00581)

Assay Genie provides two complementary immunoassay kits for quantifying alpha-synuclein in human samples. One is a chemiluminescence CLIA kit, the other a colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit. Both are validated for use with serum, plasma and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed against human SNCα.

The sandwich ELISA provides a sensitivity of 9.38 pg/mL across 15.63–1000 pg/mL, with an assay time of around 3 h 30 min and a sample volume of 100 μL. Reported recovery is 80%–120%. Specificity testing showed recognition of Human SNCα with no significant cross-reactivity or interference from analogues. The kit is stored at 2–8°C and targets the UniProt entry P37840, with applications in cancer, neuroscience and cell biology research.

Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and cell culture media at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. At 1:2, average values were 105% for serum (range 99–113), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 85–97) and 96% for cell culture media (range 90–104); at 1:16, the averages were 100% (94–105), 92% (86–99) and 89% (83–98). Spike recovery averaged 99% in EDTA plasma (n=8, range 92–108) and 96% in cell culture media (n=8, range 90–101). Precision across three sample levels produced intra-assay CV values of 6.08%, 5.56% and 4.66%, with inter-assay CVs of 8.47%, 7.39% and 8.52%.
