SNAP29 is a Q-SNARE family member required for autophagosome-lysosome fusion and broader membrane trafficking events in human cells. Loss-of-function mutations in the SNAP29 gene cause CEDNIK syndrome, a rare neurocutaneous disorder characterized by cerebral dysgenesis, neuropathy, ichthyosis, and keratoderma. This disease association has driven research interest in quantifying SNAP29 protein levels across patient samples and cellular disease models, and the protein's central role in autophagy makes it a frequent target in cell biology studies.

This Assay Genie immunoassay is configured for quantitative measurement of human SNAP29 and is supplied as a complete reagent set in a 96-assay microplate format. The kit includes pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection antibody, standards, and streptavidin-HRP components for chromogenic readout. Researchers typically pair the assay with absorbance plate readers to interpolate unknown concentrations against the supplied standard curve.

Each pack supports mid-throughput screening, which is convenient for comparing patient versus control cohorts, evaluating knockdown or overexpression in cell-line models, or monitoring SNAP29 changes following drug treatment. The kit is supplied for research use only and is intended for laboratory investigation of SNAP29 biology rather than clinical diagnosis.
