Human SMOX/Spermine oxidase ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of human SMOX (spermine oxidase), an enzyme involved in the regulation of polyamine metabolism and oxidative stress. The kit is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric detection method.

The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with storage at 2–8°C for 12 months. Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Linearity at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 was reported in serum (81–100%, 87–96%, 87–95%), EDTA plasma (82–98%, 83–100%, 83–101%) and heparin plasma (84–99%, 83–92%, 82–94%). Recovery ranges were 85–101% in serum (average 96%), 85–105% in EDTA plasma (average 95%) and 85–100% in heparin plasma (average 97%).

The double-antibody sandwich workflow comprises plate and reagent equilibration, a 37°C primary incubation of 90 minutes, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin binding step, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution.
