The SMOC-2 (SPARC-related modular calcium-binding protein 2) target is a secreted matricellular glycoprotein localised to basement membranes, where it influences cell-matrix interactions, integrin signalling and angiogenic programmes relevant to wound repair, renal pathology and tumour-stroma crosstalk. This Assay Genie ELISA kit enables researchers to track endogenous SMOC-2 levels in cell culture supernatant, plasma or serum samples, supporting translational work on extracellular matrix remodelling, glaucoma-related angiogenesis and fibrotic disease models. Each microplate run pairs a pre-titrated capture antibody with a biotinylated detection reagent and streptavidin-HRP, resolving concentrations via a recombinant human SMOC-2 standard curve.
