Human SMC4 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate quantification of human Structural Maintenance of Chromosomes Protein 4 (SMC4) in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. It uses an ELISA detection method and is intended for research applications. SMC4 is a central component of the condensin complex, required for conversion of interphase chromatin into mitotic-like condensed chromosomes during cell division, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer and developmental disorders.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, sensitivity of 32pg/mL, Intra CV of 4.4%, and Inter CV of 9.2%. Linearity was demonstrated in serum (91-101%, 99-108%, 101-113%, 82-91%), EDTA plasma (93-103%, 102-113%, 81-93%, 108-120%), and heparin plasma (106-117%, 83-91%, 106-115%, 108-118%) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 (N=5). Recovery averages 100% (range 94-106%) in serum and 102% (range 96-108%) in plasma.

The assay is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Specificity is confirmed for natural and recombinant human SMC4. The kit is for research use only.
