Human Small Dense Low Density Lipoprotein/sdLDL ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise quantification of Human Small Dense Low Density Lipoprotein (sdLDL) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a colorimetric readout within a double antibody sandwich format, with a reported sensitivity of 0.188 nmol/mL and an assay range of 0.313-20 nmol/mL. It is intended for research applications investigating sdLDL, a subtype of LDL cholesterol that has been linked to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, including atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added with a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes at 37°C. TMB substrate is added for color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, after which stop solution is applied and absorbance measured at 450 nm. Reported recovery ranges from 87-102% in serum (n=5, average 95%), 89-104% in EDTA plasma (n=5, average 99%) and 87-101% in heparin plasma (n=5, average 98%). Components are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.
