Human Smad7/MADH7 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA in a double-antibody configuration from Assay Genie, intended for the quantitative determination of human SMAD7 (also known as MADH7) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. SMAD7 is described as a key regulator of the TGF-beta signaling pathway, contributing to cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, fibrosis, and inflammatory disorders.

The procedure uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Reported linearity for serum (n=5) spans 86-105% at 1:2, 87-103% at 1:4 and 85-104% at 1:8 dilution; EDTA plasma (n=5) gives 83-96%, 84-101% and 84-101%; and heparin plasma (n=5) gives 82-95%, 81-90% and 82-94%. Average spike-and-recovery values are 96% for serum (range 93-102%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 88-99%) and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89-101%).
