Human SLPI/Secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor ELISA Kit

A high quality Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie for the measurement of human Secretory Leukocyte Protease Inhibitor (SLPI), based on the double antibody method with detection at OD450. The kit is validated for use with human serum and plasma samples, providing a working range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL. The assay runs for 120 minutes and is supplied with a ready-to-use Cap/Det Ab working solution, HRP-Streptavidin, TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, wash buffer, stop solution, lyophilised standard and a dismountable microplate, together with a plate sealer and manual.

Performance has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery across these matrices averages 96–98%, with ranges of 89–103% (serum), 85–104% (EDTA plasma) and 86–104% (heparin plasma). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions falls between 85–102%. Intra- and inter-assay precision CVs range from 3.64% to 4.42% across low, medium and high concentration samples. SLPI is described as a key protein involved in immune response and inflammation regulation, with antimicrobial and antiviral properties, and is relevant to conditions such as respiratory infections, inflammatory disorders and cancer.
