This Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of human SLC37A4, the gene encoding glucose-6-phosphate translocase (G6PT), an endoplasmic reticulum transporter responsible for shuttling glucose-6-phosphate into the ER lumen. Pathogenic variants in SLC37A4 cause glycogen storage disease type Ib, an inherited metabolic disorder characterised by neutropenia, recurrent infections, hypoglycemia, and hepatomegaly, so circulating G6PT levels are a relevant biomarker for translational research into carbohydrate metabolism and neutrophil biology.

The microplate-based workflow includes pre-coated capture wells, lyophilised antigen standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, and substrate solution.
