Human SLC31A1/CTR1 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of SLC31A1 (CTR1) levels in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay is colorimetric and targets SLC31A1 (CTR1), a high-affinity copper transporter (also known as hCTR1, COPT1, Copper transporter 1, High affinity copper uptake protein 1, Solute carrier family 31 member 1) involved in regulating cellular copper uptake and distribution. Dysregulation of this protein has been linked to copper imbalance and related disorders such as Wilson's disease and Menkes disease, making the kit a useful tool for research into copper metabolism and homeostasis within the Cell Biology research area.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL with a measuring range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) was 89–105% at 1:2, 85–97% at 1:4 and 90–103% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 89–99%, 84–101% and 82–97%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 84–96%, 81–98% and 82–91%. Recovery averaged 95% for serum (range 89–104%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 90–101%) and 96% for heparin plasma (range 89–101%). The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
