The Assay Genie Human SLC22A2 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of the organic cation transporter 2 (OCT2) protein, encoded by the SLC22A2 gene, in human research samples. OCT2 is a polyspecific transporter localized to the basolateral membrane of renal proximal tubule cells, where it mediates cellular uptake of endogenous substrates and cationic pharmaceuticals such as metformin and cisplatin.

This in vitro ELISA is intended for research use only and supports investigation of renal drug disposition, transporter-mediated nephrotoxicity, pharmacokinetic profiling, and transporter biomarker discovery.
