Human SLC17A5 (Sialin) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Sialin (SLC17A5) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay shows reactivity with human samples and uses natural and recombinant human Sialin as the target. Detection is colorimetric and the format is a 96-well dismountable microplate.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 5.1% and inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity values across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma are provided, along with serum recovery of 102% (range 96-108%) and plasma recovery of 104% (range 98-110%). Sialin is a multi-pass membrane transporter (UniProt Q9NRA2) that exports free sialic acid from the lysosome and is associated with conditions including Salla disease and infantile sialic acid storage disorder.
