Signal regulatory protein alpha (SIRP alpha, also designated CD172a) is a myeloid-cell transmembrane receptor that binds CD47 to suppress macrophage phagocytosis, making its quantification relevant to immuno-oncology and innate immunity research.
This Assay Genie kit measures human SIRP alpha in conditioned media from cultured cells and in human blood-derived samples, configured as a 96-assay microplate. Applications include monitoring receptor shedding during myeloid cell activation, profiling soluble SIRP alpha levels in tumor microenvironment studies, and supporting research into checkpoint blockade strategies that aim to enhance macrophage-mediated clearance of cancer cells.
The assay is configured for in vitro research use, with workflow steps suited to laboratories investigating transplantation tolerance, autoimmune inflammation, and the molecular regulation of the CD47-SIRP alpha signaling axis.
