Human sIL-6RA/sIL-6R alpha ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of human sIL-6RA (soluble interleukin-6 receptor alpha), this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double antibody configuration and a colorimetric readout. The kit is intended for use with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate and other liquid samples, with a reported sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Reagents are stable at 2-8°C for 12 months. The target, also referenced by the synonyms IL-6Ralpha, IL-6RA, IL-6R alpha, IL-6R, IL-6R-alpha, IL-6R 1, gp80, CD126, IL6Q and IL6RQ (UniProt P08887), is a key component of inflammation and immune signalling, and measurement of its soluble form supports research into autoimmune, inflammatory and oncological contexts.

Assay performance has been characterised by linearity and spike-and-recovery testing across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices. Dilution linearity in these samples falls within 81-105% across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, while recovery ranges between 86-100% with average recoveries of 94% (serum), 94% (EDTA plasma) and 90% (heparin plasma). The workflow follows a standard sandwich sequence: equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
