Human Signal transducer and activator of transcription 4 (STAT4) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit designed to quantify human Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 4 (STAT4). The assay is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant human STAT4.

Reported performance specifications include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.168 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 7.9% and inter-assay CV is 9.2%. Dilution linearity across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma yielded recovery values spanning 89–121% depending on dilution, while spiking recovery averaged 107% for serum (range 101–113%) and 109% for plasma (range 103–115%). STAT4 is a transcription factor of the STAT family that is phosphorylated by receptor-associated kinases downstream of cytokines and growth factors, essential for mediating responses to IL12 in lymphocytes and regulating T helper cell differentiation. The protein is normally located in the cytoplasm and is translocated to the nucleus upon phosphorylation. The kit is intended for research use only.
