Siglec7 (Sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin 7) is a CD33-related inhibitory receptor carried primarily by natural killer (NK) cells and, to a lesser extent, by monocytes, macrophages, and select T cell subsets. The Assay Genie Human Siglec7 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of this receptor in human research samples, supporting studies of NK cell tolerance, innate immune regulation, and tumor immune evasion. Because Siglec7 recruits SHP-1 and SHP-2 phosphatases through its cytoplasmic ITIM motifs when it engages sialylated ligands such as GD3, researchers track expression and shedding in cell culture supernatant samples as well as plasma-derived and serum-derived research specimens to evaluate glyco-immune checkpoint activity in immuno-oncology programs. The kit ships as a 96-assay configuration for research use only and runs on a colorimetric ELISA workflow compatible with standard microplate readers, providing a practical option for target engagement studies, ligand screening, and biomarker characterization in drug discovery pipelines.
