Human Siglec-5 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1091)

The Human Siglec-5 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin 5 (Siglec-5, CD170), an inhibitory immune receptor carrying an ITIM motif. Siglec-5 is expressed on neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, and selected lymphocyte populations, where it dampens cellular activation through recruitment of SHP-1 and SHP-2 tyrosine phosphatases.

Typical research applications include profiling innate immune regulation, dissecting pathogen-sialic acid engagement (for example, by Group B Streptococcus and certain enveloped viruses), characterizing myeloid involvement in chronic inflammatory disease, and screening tumor-associated immune signatures. The pre-coated microplate and all accompanying buffers are supplied for in vitro research use only.

For best results, store unopened components refrigerated, allow reagents to equilibrate to room temperature before use, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of standards and detection antibody. Each vial is intended for single-use aliquoting when working with precious samples.
