Quantitative measurement of Splicing factor, proline- and glutamine-rich (SFPQ) in human research samples is enabled by the Assay Genie Human SFPQ ELISA Kit. SFPQ, also known as PSF (PTB-associated Splicing Factor), is a ~76 kDa nuclear protein belonging to the Drosophila Behavior Human Splicing (DBHS) family of architectural RNA-binding proteins. It participates in pre-mRNA splicing, transcriptional regulation, DNA repair, and paraspeckle formation, and is a research focus in neurodegenerative disease, cancer biology, and studies of RNA processing dysregulation. The kit is supplied as a complete microplate-format package using an absorbance-based readout, suitable for in vitro research workflows investigating gene expression in nuclear and cytoplasmic compartments. Reagents should be stored refrigerated and protected from light to preserve activity across the kit's shelf life, with aliquoting recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles. This SFPQ ELISA kit is intended for research use only and supports expression studies in cell culture models and tissue-derived specimens, providing a tool for researchers characterizing splicing factor behavior under different physiological and pathological conditions.
