Human SETDB2 (Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase SETDB2) ELISA Kit (HUFI06578)

Assay Genie's SETDB2 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of human Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase SETDB2 in blood-derived samples using a paired-antibody capture format on a microplate. SETDB2 catalyzes mono-, di-, and tri-methylation of histone H3 at lysine 9 (H3K9me1/2/3) and plays documented roles in silencing endogenous retroviral elements, regulating macrophage-driven inflammatory responses, and modulating cytokine output during bacterial infection.

The kit supports research into epigenetic regulation, cancer biology (melanoma, lung adenocarcinoma, colorectal carcinoma models), inflammatory bowel disease, host-pathogen interactions, and chromatin-mediated gene silencing. Sample compatibility has been validated on human serum fractions and EDTA-plasma fractions; cross-reactivity with mouse, rat, or other species has not been characterized.

Each microplate run uses a defined aliquot of standard or pre-diluted sample per well, with results interpolated from a recombinant SETDB2 standard curve. The kit ships with a pre-coated strip plate, matched capture and detection antibodies, recombinant SETDB2 calibrators, TMB substrate, stop reagent, wash concentrate, and assay diluent. Unopened components are shipped refrigerated and stored at 4 degrees C until first use; reconstituted calibrators should be aliquoted to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
