Human Sestrin-3 (SESN3) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Sestrin-3 (SESN3), also known by the synonym SEST3, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric detection method, with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.067ng/mL.

Precision has been validated with an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.9%. Linearity was established across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (N=5; 92-101%, 87-98%, 111-111%, 98-110%), EDTA plasma (N=5; 110-120%, 107-117%, 100-110%, 100-108%) and heparin plasma (N=5; 102-111%, 98-107%, 98-111%, 109-121%). Recovery averages 100% (94-106%) in serum and 102% (96-108%) in plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Sestrin-3.

Sestrin-3 is a stress-induced protein located in the cytoplasm that may function as an intracellular leucine sensor negatively regulating the TORC1 signaling pathway and may also regulate the insulin-receptor signaling pathway through activation of TORC2. It is implicated in cellular stress responses, glucose homeostasis, insulin resistance, lipid storage in obesity, and has been associated with cancer, metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
