Human Serum Amyloid P Component (SAP) ELISA Kit

SAP (Serum Amyloid P Component) is a pentraxin-family glycoprotein synthesized by hepatocytes that circulates in the bloodstream and binds amyloid fibrils, DNA, chromatin, and bacterial polysaccharides. Elevated SAP concentrations have clinical relevance as biomarkers of acute-phase responses, systemic amyloidosis, and chronic inflammatory conditions including rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie targets human SAP using a sandwich-format ELISA workflow with colorimetric readout, allowing researchers to measure circulating SAP concentrations in samples derived from human serum or plasma, and from tissue homogenates.
