Human Serum amyloid A-4 protein (SAA4) ELISA Kit

The assay detects natural and recombinant human SAA4 with a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 5.9% and inter-assay CV is 8.4%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 (n=5). Recovery averages 100% in serum (range 94–106%) and 102% in plasma (range 96–108%). Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. SAA4 functions as a major acute phase reactant and an apolipoprotein of the HDL complex.

The colorimetric sandwich ELISA workflow involves adding samples and standards to pre-coated wells, incubation with detection reagents, washing, substrate addition, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
