Human SERPINB4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed to detect human Serpin B4 (SERPINB4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric ELISA detection method with reactivity limited to human samples. SERPINB4, also referred to as squamous cell carcinoma antigen 1, is a serine protease inhibitor belonging to the serpin family (Ov-serpin subfamily) that may act as a protease inhibitor to modulate the host immune response against tumor cells.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.8% and inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Reported linearity values across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) are 97–107%, 98–110%, 107–117% and 88–98% for serum (N=5); 96–106%, 107–117%, 92–104% and 92–102% for EDTA plasma (N=5); and 96–105%, 97–107%, 106–116% and 83–92% for heparin plasma (N=5). Mean recovery is 97% (range 91–103%) for serum and 99% (range 93–105%) for plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Serpin B4 and is intended for cancer research use only.
