Human SerpinB3 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Serpin B3 (SERPINB3). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples, including serum and plasma, as well as tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 32 pg/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Recovery is reported at 100–112% in serum and 102–114% in plasma. The kit is supplied for research use only.

SerpinB3 is a member of the serpin family of serine protease inhibitors and is also known by synonyms including Protein T4-A, Squamous cell carcinoma antigen 1, SCCA-1, SCCA and SCCA1. It may act as a papain-like cysteine protease inhibitor to modulate the host immune response against tumor cells and functions as an inhibitor of UV-induced apoptosis via suppression of JNK1 activity. Dysregulation of SerpinB3 has been associated with cancer, liver disorders and inflammatory conditions, making it a biomarker of interest for research into these pathologies.
