Human Serpin B5 (SERPINB5) ELISA Kit

The assay recognises natural and recombinant human Serpin B5 and is supplied for research use only.

Quoted performance figures include a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.8% and inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity has been established in serum (96–106%, 92–102%, 94–103% and 88–101% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions respectively), EDTA plasma (107–117%, 84–84%, 112–120% and 97–107%) and heparin plasma (106–116%, 93–106%, 111–119% and 99–109%). Recovery is reported as 98% (range 92–104%) for serum and 100% (range 94–106%) for plasma.

Serpin B5 (Maspin, Peptidase inhibitor 5, PI-5, PI5; UniProt P36952) is a secreted serine protease inhibitor that functions as a tumour suppressor, blocking the growth, invasion and metastatic properties of mammary tumours. The protein is reported to interact with IRF6 and is localised to the extracellular space.
