Human Serpin B5/Maspin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of Serpin B5 (Maspin) in human samples. The kit uses a double-antibody format with a colorimetric readout and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance: sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL, assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL, and storage at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity in serum (n=5) ranges 87–97% at 1:2, 82–99% at 1:4 and 80–97% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 88–105%, 86–99% and 89–97%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 86–102%, 82–95% and 84–96%. Recovery averages are 97% (serum, range 86–103%), 93% (EDTA plasma, 89–97%) and 95% (heparin plasma, 87–104%).

Serpin B5, also known as Maspin, SERPINB5, Peptidase inhibitor 5 or PI-5 (UniProt P36952), is described as a key protein involved in the regulation of cell migration, invasion and adhesion, and is associated with research in cell biology, including studies of cancer progression and metastasis.
