Human Serpin B3 (SERPINB3) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-based colorimetric ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Serpin B3 (SERPINB3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for both natural and recombinant human Serpin B3. Serpin B3 is a serine protease inhibitor of the ov-serpin subfamily that may act as a papain-like cysteine protease inhibitor and inhibit UV-induced apoptosis via suppression of c-Jun NH(2)-terminal kinase (JNK1). Dysregulation of Serpin B3 has been linked to cancer, liver disorders and inflammatory conditions, making it a biomarker of research interest.

For research use only, the kit has a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 32 pg/mL, with intra- and inter-assay CVs of 5.1% and 9.8%. Dilutional linearity for serum falls within 85-123% from 1:2 to 1:16, while EDTA plasma ranges 96-119% and heparin plasma 98-124% across the same dilutions. Average spike-and-recovery is 106% for serum (range 100-112%) and 108% for plasma (range 102-114%). Detection is by absorbance at 450 nm.

Provided reagents include a dismountable microplate, lyophilised standard, sample diluent, assay diluents A and B, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate solution, stop solution and plate sealers, with components stored at -20°C or 4°C as indicated in the protocol.
