Human Serpin A3, also known as alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (AACT), is a serine protease inhibitor produced primarily by hepatocytes. Its circulating concentration rises several-fold during the acute-phase response, making it a useful biomarker in inflammation research, Alzheimer's disease studies, hepatocellular carcinoma investigations, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease work. This Assay Genie kit provides a quantitative in vitro immunoassay on a pre-coated microplate, with reagents supplied for 96 individual determinations. The assay accepts multiple human specimen types including cell culture supernatant samples, and is calibrated with a human-specific capture antibody for selective measurement. Reagents should be stored refrigerated upon receipt; the lyophilized standard should be reconstituted and aliquoted to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
