Human Serotonin Transporter/SERT ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of the serotonin transporter (SERT) in human samples, this sandwich, double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated capture antibody, a biotin-conjugated detection antibody and an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate with TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

The kit has a detection range of 1.563–100 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 0.938 pg/mL. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C with a shelf life of 12 months. Linearity in spiked samples (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was: serum 92–105%, 94–104% and 98–105%; EDTA plasma 87–96%, 85–97% and 82–99%; heparin plasma 85–100%, 84–96% and 83–100%. Spike-and-recovery averaged 94% in serum (range 85–101%), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 88–100%) and 91% in heparin plasma (range 88–96%).
