Description

Designed for the precise measurement of Serine/threonine-protein kinase TBK1 levels, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie offers a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples. It is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant human TBK1. Synonyms for the target include NF-kappa-B-activating kinase, T2K, TANK-binding kinase 1, and NAK.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 8.1% and inter-assay CV at 10.2%. Linearity in serum (N=5) spans 84-111% across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16; EDTA plasma spans 91-121% and heparin plasma spans 81-117% across the same dilution series. Recovery averages 94% in serum (range 88-100%) and 96% in plasma (range 90-102%).

TBK1 is a serine/threonine kinase involved in regulating inflammatory responses to foreign agents. Following toll-like receptor activation by viral or bacterial components, it associates with TRAF3 and TANK, phosphorylating interferon regulatory factors IRF3 and IRF7 as well as DDX3X to drive transcription of pro-inflammatory and antiviral genes such as IFNA and IFNB. It can also function as an NF-kappa-B effector and supports antibacterial autophagy by phosphorylating OPTN on Ser-177. UniProt entry: Q9UHD2. Research area: Immunology. For research use only.
