SERINC3 (Serine Incorporator 3) is a multi-pass transmembrane protein that mediates the incorporation of serine and ethanolamine into membrane phospholipids. Beyond its biosynthetic role, SERINC3 has been characterized as a host restriction factor that limits HIV-1 infectivity by interfering with viral envelope glycoprotein conformation upon incorporation into budding virions. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie enables researchers to measure SERINC3 protein levels in human samples using a microplate kit format.
