Human SEPP1 (Selenoprotein P) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit uses a double-antibody format for the quantitative detection of human Selenoprotein P (SEPP1). The colorimetric assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is reactive with human SEPP1 (UniProt P49908), a selenium-containing protein involved in extracellular antioxidant defence and selenium transport in the body.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Reported validation data include linearity for serum (85–105% at 1:2, 94–105% at 1:4, 90–100% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (83–101%, 83–97%, 84–95%) and heparin plasma (81–99%, 82–94%, 82–93%), with spike-recovery ranges of 85–98% (serum), 86–105% (EDTA plasma) and 86–97% (heparin plasma).

The workflow follows a standard sandwich ELISA procedure: reagent and plate preparation, sample and standard incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) incubation for 30 minutes, TMB colour development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
