Human Semenogelin I (SEMG1) ELISA Kit

Semenogelin I (SEMG1) is a 50 kDa secretory protein produced by the seminal vesicles that constitutes the gel-forming scaffold of human ejaculate and acts as the primary physiological substrate of prostate-specific antigen (KLK3) cleavage. The Assay Genie kit is applied in andrology, fertility, and prostate biomarker research, including studies of azoospermia, post-vasectomy confirmation, and semen biochemistry. Quantitative readout uses paired monoclonal antibodies that specifically recognize human SEMG1, with a working standard curve spanning 0.312-20 ng/mL and an analytical sensitivity below 0.1 ng/mL; 100 µL of sample is added per well to the pre-coated microplate. Each kit provides sufficient reagents for one full run, with incubation times and dilution guidance detailed in the protocol booklet. Unopened components are stored at 4°C with a shelf life of 6 months, while reconstituted vials should be aliquoted and frozen at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
