Human Semenogelin-2 (SEMG2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the precise detection of Semenogelin-2 (SEMG2) levels in human samples. Validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, the assay provides high specificity for both natural and recombinant human Semenogelin-2.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.23 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.1% and inter-assay CV of 11.3%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions in serum (110–119% down to 104–114%), EDTA plasma (89–99% up to 108–120%) and heparin plasma (88–98% up to 107–119%). Recovery falls within 97–109% for serum (average 103%) and 99–111% for plasma (average 105%).

Semenogelin-2 participates in the formation of a gel matrix (sperm coagulum) entrapping accessory gland secretions and ejaculated spermatozoa, making it a relevant biomarker for research into male reproductive health and fertility. The kit is intended for research use only and the procedure is read spectrophotometrically at 450 nm.
